I completed my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Africa, where I was trained in family systems and ecosystemic psychology. In addition, I received training in neuropsychology and care and contact matters. After which I completed both my internship and community service years at Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital, where I gained experience in both adult and adolescent psychiatric and forensic populations.
I completed my PHD (Psychology) in 2017 with a focus on care and contact evaluations in South Africa.
I run a part-time practice and work predominantly from a systemic paradigm, understanding that we do not exist in isolation but rather within a larger system, and that at any moment we are embedded within a particular context. This perspective allows me to adjust therapy and include other working paradigms that would best suit each client.
My particular interests lie with child, adult and family therapy, as well personality and emotional assessments, medico-legal assessments and workshop related training. I view therapy as a space in which clients can explore that which has led to discomfort and/or distress, and create new insights.
